It’s a struggle out there - don’t try to exploit it more for your gain through the guise of ‘help’.

(It particularly sucks when some of these places are charging based on also connecting you to get work. Double dip promise, nice!).

This isn’t aimed at one particular thing or another by the way - just that over the last month the amount of businesses that I have seen branching out into advice for £XXX or reviewing things for hundreds is grating.

(why don't you do this Myles you say: well, imposter syndrome and life makes you scared to do this kinda stuff that you don't have when you're younger and just starting out. plus, I gotta relearn the tools having been a 'manager' for the last while — it's a different side of the brain to flex).

The internet is homogenising into an optimised, bland, fast food court — we gotta try and make it fun and weird again.

No longer do you need to teach yourself jQuery or PaperJS or whatever else that I mucked around with (using Tumblr as an IDE and free hosting *cough*) for silly ideas — it's all right there for you, easier than ever.

Thrive on it and go wild — make things fun, playful, whimsy.
