Banshee: A ghost like creature from Celtic folklore who's eerie wail is an omen of death. She appears as a woman in a green cloak and eyes red from weeping.

Upior: A demonic being from Slavic and Turkic folklore. Being the precursor to vampire legends this myth most likely came from the Eurasian steppes with the migrations of the Kipchak-Cuman people after originating in the regions around the Volga river and Pontic steppes.

Golem: A humanoid creature made of one singular substance such as clay, mud, stone, wood or some form of earth from Jewish folklore.

Some stories claim Selkies are even immortal and can only be killed by humans or sharks. They are said to have balance and agility much greater than the average human's as well as extraordinary strength. They are also believed to be able to breath underwater as well as above land.

Siren: A beautiful woman from Greek mythology that lured sailors to their deaths with their singing.

Rougarou: Also known as a Cajun werewolf this monster is mostly found in Louisiana and other regions in north America settled by the French.

Squonk: Lacrimacorpus dissolvens is creature native to northern Pennsylvania. Often found hiding in hemlock forests it is said that the sqonk is so incredibly ugly that it is constantly sad about its hideous appearance which causes it to cry a trail of tears which can be used to find them.

Mothman: A tall dark creature said to hail from Point Pleasant west Virginia. The mothman is a mysterious creature often associated with disasters and misfortune. He is described as humanoid but broader than the average man and wings instead of arms.

Ogre: A man eating humanoid giant from northern European folklore particularly in France, Britain and Ireland.

Medusa: A gorgon from Greek mythology said to be so hideous that looking upon her would turn anyone to stone. Although descriptions vary it is generally agreed that Medusa resembled a human woman with living snakes for hair.

Selkie: An aquatic creature from folklore in Greenland, Iceland, the Faeroe Isles and northern Scotland and Ireland. Selkies are seals that can turn human and back again with the aid of a seal skin that they can remove like clothing.
