Found some Big Ben Silver this past weekend! Also accidentally dug up a hibernating frog! He’s gonna be upset in the spring when he finds out he’s been robbed!

My best metal detecting find if all time is a 1785 USA Bar Copper. Very rare. One of the 1st US coins. Found in Guilford, CT.

Broken Ceramic bowl I found with 2 silver plated spoons while metal detecting. Spoons date back to 1870s so assuming bowl is from same time frame. Found in Southern CT. Any experts care to weigh in??

Today’s featured metal detecting find! Brass 1904 Parker/Davis presidential campaign luggage tag. Found 5” deep in a curb strip in New Haven, CT. Democrat Alton Parker was defeated by Teddy Roosevelt in the 1904 election.
