#bobcratchit, of #Dickens “A Christmas Carol”, was grossly underpaid and overworked in 1843 by the miserly #Scrooge. Cratchit worked 10 hours/day, 6 days/wk for 15 shillings/wk. In today’s relative labor wages, that would be ~ 600 British pounds sterling/wk or just under $800… that’s about $13/hr.

We’re transitioning from the #RuleofLaw to the #LawofRule. For 248 years, America assumed only people of good faith would govern. Beginning 2025, #Rump will reassure followers they ‘won’t have to care about others’. #MAGA wants those of us who DO care, to disappear. Let’s not disappear.
