Just returning from a week in Europe and I can say America is looking very weak. Most people we some with shook their heads in sympathy and horror for what’s happening. The prevailing comment - it’s only 4 years or we will wait to see what these 4 years bring.

So we gotta go back to 1870? Is that with we were great?

I’ve been staying sane by reading “Man’s Search for Meaning” by Viktor Frankl and rewatching James Baldwin clips. The age old hunt for ‘power over’ is a weak mind that chooses reaction over responding. Translation: Find deeper meaning in something outside your ego.

For the time being I’m going to assume I’m living in a bad “Batman meets Joker on Extrene” movie and read my way through until Joker self destructs. We’ve seen this story before and the criminals can never hold it together - it’s just not the criminal way - they must boast and brag. Resilience.
