Assuming tariffs are core doctrine (permanent) of orangeman:
1: Supply chain disruption (June)
2: Inflation (July)
3. Unemployment (Aug)
4. Cut to interest rates (Sept)
5. Growth green shoots (Oct)
Thoughts?
A. China/Iran reaction to being boxed out of US-global economy
B. Retaliatory tariffs stay

The orangeman’s political tactics are drawn whole cloth from the writings of Orwell, Kafka, Hitler, Stalin and Putin, et al.
2 important things he learned on how you can suspend elections:
From Zelensky: if theres a war on
From Hitler: if there is a fire or an attack on domestic infrastructure

The orangeman is showing no signs that he cares what the majority of US citizens think. He cares only what the Bond mkt, Currency mkt and Hedge funds think. And they dont care about the orangeman’s un-democratic actions like arresting judges or suspending habeas corpus.
April 25, 2025 at 3:12 PM
The orangeman has reversed his bad policies when large stakeholders have expressed their displeasure:
1. The Bond market
2. The Currency market
3. The Courts
4. The Hedge Fund industry
I am looking for, but not seeing, anecdotes of when he reverses course as a result of popular uprising/protest

Still think there will be mid term elections in US? Orangeman is punching democracy in the face.
April 25, 2025 at 2:50 PM
Just as putin discovered resistance when attacking Ukraine, the orangeman has encountered the dmzs of his policy wars: the bond market halted his tariffs, the courts are halting his doge cuts, even large corps are backing DEI again. He is left w dehumanizing immigrants to pleasure the base. Flaccid

And so begins the relentless re-truthing of who are those people up north and the dangers they pose:

This is what i was afraid of: That it doesnt matter who Canada elects for PM; that Cda is tethered to the tiger and is resigned to live with it under imposed circumstances; no new pipelines or trading partners or military alliances. Stuck w a hostile neighbor.

Social Security: if you believe it is sustainable as is, then all the current threats to it are an abomination. If you believe that it is not sustainable as is, then you must agree that it needs to be altered at some time. When?

Also for a friend who is living in a country that may be subject to hostile takeover: expect the market for the country’s sovereign bonds to experience a non-systemic rise in yields in the year preceding invasion. If the invasion is wholly successful, then sovereign bond value goes to $0.
March 21, 2025 at 9:46 PM
For a friend: When russia took over parts of Ukraine, Ukrainian property holders were only able to retain property ownership if they became russian citizens. So if you currently live in a nation that may be invaded, thats how you hold onto your property.

Mark Carney and elon might not have too much in common, but the F-35 decision and the effectiveness of Ukrainian drones vs large neighbor are examples of overlap of ideas.

Tech bros. are merely bringing The Matrix to life. They aim to farm humans, since they do not value humanness any longer. They have AI for “efficiency.” Humans, left uncontrolled, are merely chaotic. Same way as trump’s folks read George Orwell and said “Hey, that’s a great idea!”

Can you say “stock market reversal?” Trump Put is now officially a Trump Call
March 13, 2025 at 5:55 PM
None of the other countries who are using retaliatory tariffs are claiming what a great source of cash they are. Trump is really the only one who sees this great business opportunity. Visionary.
March 12, 2025 at 10:24 PM
“United we stand, Divided….” Globally, countries are beginning to coordinate push-back tariffs against trump tariffs. Domestically, not so much coordinated action among victims of DOGE. Cudos though to blue state AGs for NY vs USA.
March 12, 2025 at 4:07 PM
The “Trump Put” is as impotent as the orangeman himself. He will not back off his minions or policies to bail out the market this time. His ambition is likely to sell distressed assets to strongmen who squandered their own countries’ wealth.
March 10, 2025 at 5:36 PM
Today I am feeling confident that my home in Canada will not look like Gaza anytime soon: the US govt is now so weakened by DOGE’s gutting of competence and morale, that any disturbance of the unstable equilibrium there will cause the whole nation to implode. How many hours til a disturbance?.

Has the orangeman lost control of the market? So far, the market doesnt care about his “largesse.” Mexico reprieve earlier today; Canada just now. S&P remains near day’s lows.

Not a single mention of GDP or Employment or how to cure Inflation. Anyone who is not part of the Elite should just pack it in now.
