Kidnapped: Elizabeth Smart - watched this open mouthed. Just staggered that someone can walk into a family home and walk out with a child. The kid was strong despite all the things that happened to her. Well worth a watch.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms:

He’s a big softy, is Dunc. Nice that in the world of Westeros, he’s not an arse.

Seems a bit stupid but I’m putting that down to being massively naive. He may slouch but hopefully we’ll see that chest puff out a bit as the series pushes on.

I’m watching Field of Dreams (one of my fave sport films) and I only found out just before Christmas that the baseball pitch they made for the film is still there and people visit it. Blown my mind when I heard!

Die Hard tonight. Love this film. Willis is brilliant and Rickman is amazing.

Do you think this would be made today?

First time I’ve seen Thunderbolts. I tell you what though…it’s better than I thought it would be. I actually liked all the characters. They’re disjointed and unruly but I actually prefer this. Bob. Let’s not forget about Bob! This made me excited about New Avengers as well.

Wake Up Dead Man on @netflixuk, I think, was my favourite so far of the Knives Out films. I thought Josh O’Connor and Josh Brolin were brilliant. Had me guessing right until the end to be honest.

Tonight I’ve got The Hound of the Baskervilles with Ian Richardson as Sherlock Holmes. It’s a great version and full of stars. Denholm Elliot, Brian Blessed, Ronald Lacey and Martin Shaw to name a few.

I think I’ll watch other versions over the next few weeks.

I’ve watched Monster Squad for the first time today. A film that revolves around a group of kids into their Monsters. A monsters turn up in their town. A battle takes place.

Really wish I’d watched this as a kid because I’d have really loved this!

Frank Sidebottom was a famous comic in Manchester. Spotted this while walking round the Northern Quarter.

If I remember rightly, he had a comic series in Oink! Magazine.

I grew up watching those films John Candy starred in. This doc “I like me” is wonderful. It’s interesting to hear about Second City (look at those comedians he worked with! Wow!!) and his problems with his anxiety as it’s not something I’ve heard about before now. Great stuff.

And here’s the poster for The Equalizer 3!

McCall is brutal in this film. He kind of enjoys it as well to a certain extent. Like he’s accepted who he is now after the first film.

After watching Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning on @netflix last week, I’ve been wanting to go back to the start.

For those in the UK that want to do the same, the first 3 films are on the ITV app!

I’ve started the first film and I’d forgot Emilio Estevez was in it!

The poster for MI: Dead Reckoning - love the cast in this as well. Will have to watch them all in order for sure now.

Is Mission Impossible the best action movie franchise?

This evenings film is Buckaroo Banzai. What a crazy film! Looks at the cast…Peter Weller, John Lithgow, Jeff Goldblum, Christopher Lloyd, Ronal Lacey to name a few.

Never watched before. Great film!

Syril is such a tortured soul. Anger constantly bubbling under the surface. Love how his hair is a mess in this episode. Must be out of sorts if his hair is like this!

I’ve put Star Trek IV The Voyage Home on the tele. On a personal note this film gives me great memories as my best mate at Primary School had won a radio competition to go see it at the cinema. It’s light hearted and funny with a good message at the core.

Start of a bank holiday weekend, so I’m going to kick it off with watching Star Trek VI The Undiscovered Country which is probably my favourite Star Trek. There’s Klingons, they’re on a planet and there’s a multitude of different aliens. Cast is brilliant.

Watching Havoc tonight. I don’t know a lot about it but from what I can see, it has a hell of a cast. IMDB users give it an average of 5.9 so far, so let’s see. #Havoc

Watching The Last Starfighter. A film that I’ve enjoyed watching for years and years. Pure escapism.

Just started Runaway Jury purely for Hackman but here for Hoffman, Cusack and Weisz as well! Going in completely blind.

I can’t believe I’ve never watched US Marshals, especially seeing it’s linked to The Fugitive with Tommy Lee Jones reprising his role as Samuel Gerard. On @netflixuk.bsky.social - so watching it before bed.

Warlords of Atlantis! What. A. Film. A Doug McClure starring film. I grew up watching these films. Probably on Channel 4 in the UK during the holidays. Stumbled across this this evening!
