I’m grateful to even be able to talk to you on this magic phone thing while you’re miles away. We are living in the slight little sliver of human time where that exists.

You feel lost this year but next year? Tomorrow? Tonight? You and I will cherish what we do have. I will cherish that I even get the opportunity to know you.

And to have loss in some areas and uncertainty in others is “normal” You are normal but see it for the best it can be. And maybe someday you will have someone to kiss at midnight to bring in a new bright and shiny year.
