Realism. When I was writing some of my stories years ago, I wanted to make sure the characters felt real. Like it wasn't forced, wasn't 0-100 in a few sentences, it felt like it was something that could actually happen. Also, there needed to be real emotion (love) involved, otherwise it's empty.

But then you'd never get anything done that day. Well, nothing except one constant thing :)
