Billy and I on his first and last bus trip. Losing him will just hurt for a long while. As Jenn said, he was the soul of the house. Both serious and silly, he looked out for everyone.

We said goodbye to Billy today. The cats, Lola, and Jenn and I were with him. And he wasn't scared. There is so much to say about Billy Boy, the bandaid for my soul after Jupiter died. And bandaid he was, such a nanny, always taking care of the other guys. And us. He always took care of us.

I'm so glad Billy got to go on our first overnight trip in the bus. He's been quiet since we got home; doesn't seem up for walks or going down our 25 steps. He's not in pain, but is low on energy. He wants us with him. And we are here for this boy who has always been here for us...
