You likely just have to either confirm your contact info/address are the same or update your info. Library cards generally expire every few years just to keep info updated.

Eek. Libraries need to maintain a strong focus on information literacy, vetting sources, etc. Any generative AI use should be very limited, controlled, and fit within the confines of what it can and can’t reliably do.

That sounds like a super exciting project! I don’t think I’ve heard of any town adding affordable housing above a library, but it sounds like a great idea.

My favorite times working at a library were listening to the kids screaming their ABCs during the preschool programs. They were SO PROUD that they knew them!

Yup! I’ve known of libraries that increased circulation significantly just through weeding (without having bought more books yet). Library users were able to more easily spot current, high-quality titles when outdated, physically worn books were removed.
