[Maybe the More Perturbed You Are, the More We Have in Common]
Absolutely! I was a child the last time I owned a cat, but I've learned a lot just watching that cat whisperer show.

Some particular things seem way different than dog training but the same principles apply: using shouting and violence to teach a pet is like using a club to teach a baboon calculus

And before the occasional person-who-deliberately-misreads-posts comes along, no I didn't suggest taking pets off of leashes. Keep your pets leashed. After all that stuff about logic and reason and spock stuff, ffs. Srsly.

I'm saying you should teach your pets without depending on barbarism

No hitting, no smacking, no cardboard tubes, or rolled up newspapers, no screaming, no choking, no zapping, no rumbling, no collars, no leashes— just sensible logic, reason, and compassion.

If you hurt pets because you don't know how logic or reason works then this middle finger is for you 🖕

This is obviously a bait post, so I'm muting it.

Bertrand Russel was no sympathizer to the Bolsheviks, but even he concedes that they were left with no other choice but to deal with such things the way they did, in 'The Theory and Practice of Bolshevism".

When faced with the highest form of supremacy ideology vanguard authoritarianism: Anarchism.

Curious you find the need to share such opinions.

Honestly, I'd prefer the "triple hearsay" of contemporary sources.

There's more merit to them than the unnecessarily authoritarian dictations of modern internet anarchists telling me what to think and how to think it.

Thanks for the ride, I guess.

One Tibetan definition/translation for "Karma" is "that which one does to oneself" I've heard from students of Nyingma. It can be a compass or an analogical tool to represent the shame for past wrong doings and knowing one could have done better. "Doesn't exist" is also a valid answer.

This one is obviously a little bias, but the sources they cite to make their point are available: "Volin quoted in Footman 1961 p290, also Volin 1955, p226"

Nestor Makhno: the failure of anarchism
Mick Armstrong dismantles the romanticism surrounding Makhno in some anarchist circles today with a study of his activity during the Russian Civil War.

This clique really is just the latest incarnation of the Know-Nothings, the 'secret society' political party who propagated what would become the lost cause of the Confederacy.

Depending on the source I'm liable to fistbump or kick you in your face for calling me a "communist", "anarchist", "stalinist", or "Liberal". I mean, a liberal calling someone a liberal *is* a compliment.

But you don't want to get kicked in the face by a man capable of kicking a person in the face

"People in ideological identity crises don't seem to understand we don't want to vote for a candidate who advertises "reform" but actively works against solving the roots of every problem, refusing to break from the status quo, or adapt their platform to address the actual needs of the 21st century"

In Makhno's camps it was compulsory for women to have sex with commanders in drunken debaucheries. They didn't get a say, and were executed on a whim whether or not they complied.
