It literally can take me 10 minutes to catch her to take her on a walk. So, we are having our bath remodeled. I am doing the "Poppy Loop" and I hear laughing, I look and my Tile guys are watching me laughing. One of them steps down, says "Poppy" and puts the leash on her! The TILE GUY!

It has actually become quite comical. Our home set up, allows you to make a big loop around the rooms, our kids, when younger used this for riding their big wheels. Well, Poppy uses this as, her "get away" she goes one way, I go the other, I change directions, so does she. We go round and round.

I don't know if you are familiar with the Amish but a lot of men in the family run some of the most abusive puppy mills around. Most rescue dogs around here, fear men because of that. Poppy's mill was run by a woman, so she is terrified of me. At first she wouldn't let me near. Now she looks for me.

Thank you for telling me about Ollie's background, that gives me hope. Poppy is our 4th rescue and by far the most shutdown. We live in Lancaster Pennsylvania, home to a large population of Amish People. No, we are not Amish & yes, we drive next to horse & buggy's, always asked those 2 questions lol

I do not understand how people can abuse an animal. Let alone to the extent that she must have been abused to be so afraid of humans. We also have a Corgi, Bella. 14 yrs old. Poppy wants to be friends with Bella but poor old gal Bella just wants her treat, her bed, and a sunny spot to nap!

I was forced to retire but now I'm loving it. I have no need for golf, I must have the "Ask her, she's retired, she just sits around all day" sign on my forehead. People asking for favors have come out of the woodwork in the last 6 months!

Who has time for confusion? Skyrocketing housing prices and nursing home and daycare costs, means empty nesters often have adult children, aging parents, and grandchildren in the home to save money. Side-by-side recliners? Most are lucky to have time to sit down to eat.

I did it but I will need to look into counseling because based on how I am feeling I am certain I have an online shopping addiction. But I didn't buy anything today. I am holding strong.

That is freaking hysterical. I can't wait to see parents lining up to take an "active" role in their child education. My granddaughter's class had a fall party 2 weeks ago and they couldn't find 5 parents to volunteer for an hour. Sorry but Florida is going to have the dumbest kids in the country.
