with so many kittys this year i’ve decided to downsize the amount of decorating i do this year. i’d rather have kittys exploring a fun safe place than get shoo’d all the time. this lil tree is perfect.

i live in a fairly populated city but tonight i hear an owl pretty close by. i’ve got a type of pine tree in the back yard that’s pretty tall, hopefully he/she made a nest there

thinking back to a year ago when i took 4 kitties to the vet for their first round of shots. they lived outside but i was feeding them. i was frazzled at check in and couldn’t remember the names we had come up with. i named one kitty Special Fourth Guy. she’s a girl, her name is fireball now

I tend to cook for those around me and less for myself. as a child in new england i liked american chop suey, that dish reminds me of comfort food. i think i’ve made it once in my life. tonight will be twice. it feels nice to make something from my childhood. i need to put myself first more often 🙂
