I'm fixing up my grandparents' five-acre homestead, while it fixes me up in return. Still working on the last project for this year: herding a structural engineer, contractor, and the state regulator to replace a 90-year-old driveway bridge which is the only access to the house.

I wonder whether the judge will sue the developer who sold her that glass house, because they never disclosed any risk associated with throwing stones.

Seems like a self-fulfilling prophecy. Ignore the warrant, try to flee to another state, get held without bond, yell about how you were right all along.

I expected it to bark, but I was shocked when it bit me on the thigh. It couldn't get its teeth into me, but I had a huge bruise; if it had gone for the calf I'd be in the ER. I started carrying dog-mace after that. And that was in my aunt's pasture...

I'm in a rural area, and I was checking out my aunt's rental property. The neighbor's dog squeezed through the fence (they said they had patched the holes, guess they missed one), and ran up to me as the neighbor tried to call it back... I held my arms tight against my body and stood still.
