My class earned a "cooking" day, which Kistler was reading about food history, learning how cheese is made, eating fresh yogurt cheese, and making saladcrolls.
It was quite the successful day! Some ate 3 rolls.
A few went home with bean sprouts they ate like popcorn.

No school today! And I think today is the perfect day to experiment in the kitchen. What's your favorite no bake bar? I have gluten free graham cracker crumbs, several cans of dairy free sweetened condensed milk and lots of time! #nobake

In an effort to encourage my students to find hobbies, I am starting a monthly hobby challenge. I'm ridiculously proud of the little booklet! #teaching #5thgrade #unpluggedhobbies

Things that brought me comfort and joy today:
Finding a green, nonbinary squishmallow.
Working out
Making dinner
Singing "I Won't Back Down" loudly, and badly.
Finding blood oranges and planning on taking them to my class
Buying multiple children's books.
Embroidering
Existing.

A few years ago I bought this star wars shirt from the juniors department of Target. Despite being too small, I kept it and used it as a decorative pillow cover. Today I realized I could embroidery over the lines and the use it as patches. #embroidery

Can we stop judging people for what they read?
If you enjoy reading “dark” or “twisted” storylines it does not always mean you have trauma or need therapy.

People can and do separate fiction from reality. liking a genre does NOT mean you want it to happen in real life.
