This work will prepare the ground for an Innovation Act the Commission will propose later in the mandate. In order to support innovative companies to invest and operate in the single market without facing 27 distinct legal regimes, the Commission will work towards a 28th legal regime to simplify applicable rules and reduce the cost of failure, including any relevant aspects of corporate law, insolvency, labour and tax law.
