Did she not get the memo that less than 2 months ago the DOJ sued DC for allegedly banning the AR-15 and other guns, citing the 2nd amendment?

Right??? I mean DC WANTED to regulate guns and the Repugs stopped them.

Maybe he should inform his colleague Tom Nichols

“How come he's not wearing a toque?
Oh, he's not from the Great White North” 😂😂😂

That’s freaking amazing!

Wow. I’ve never been so hot for Canada. 🍁 (I mean, I liked Canada a lot before, but now I REALLY LIKE Canada.)

I guess some of you are too young to remember Bob and Doug McKenzie. Take Off! 😂😂😂

I’ve been telling everyone I know that I have a really good feeling that this is the year he’s going to choke on a Big Mac. I have even more hope after watching that video!

There were three general camps of post-romantic (late 1800s/early 1900s) philosophical thought about god: 1. There is no god, 2. There is a god but it doesn’t care about us, and 3. There is a god and it’s evil.

I think about that a lot.

She’s objectively terrible and I felt physically ill when she was appointed. Civil Rights Division used to be “the jewel in the crown of the DOJ.” No more. 😢

A couple of quibbles. She’s AN assistant attorney general (AAG, not AUSA) not THE assistant attorney general (there are about 200 of them).

Shit, his own wife is Hindu.

This caught my eye because the illustration matches the one on the front endpaper (think that’s what it’s called) in my childhood copy, which was handed down from my mother. She got it for Christmas in 1951.
December 22, 2025 at 6:35 AM
Same.
December 6, 2025 at 5:50 PM
Haha, it’s a big controversy. I think they’re all technically sweet potatoes, but typically yams are the long, orange ones (usually called yams when they’re canned) and sweet potatoes look like regular potatoes, but they’re sweet.

My New England family does traditional. My southern in-laws do “church picnic plus turkey.” While most of the food is good, it never feels special/like a real Thanksgiving to me. That’s what I meant by traditional is best. Didn’t mean to sound judgey. People should eat what they like.

Nope. I wouldn’t turn them down with syrup and cinnamon, but they would be sweeter than I prefer. Butter, salt, and pepper are all I need on sweet potatoes or yams. BTW, the only “sweet potato casseroles” (aka the stuff with marshmallows) I’ve ever seen were made with yams, not sweet potatoes.
November 29, 2025 at 5:36 AM
Same. Traditional is best.

American here. Sweet potatoes are awesome and are always a part of our thanksgiving meal. But I never heard of them with marshmallows until I married a southerner. Gross.

Absolutely. But she’s also a a self-serving opportunist, which—in this case—makes her a pretty good weathervane.

Ah, I was wondering what mental gymnastics the cult was going to go through to rationalize the evidence. Did not foresee changing the definitions of “legal” and “pedophile.”
November 13, 2025 at 11:12 PM
Absolutely agree. It is chilling and what we should be focusing on—not the money because they are unlikely to see a cent. I meant to follow up my original post post saying exactly that, but got distracted. I am much more concerned about senators trying to put themselves above the law.

Oh, agree—that part of the bill (requiring phone companies to inform senators in the future) is definitely worth focusing on and being pissed about.
November 13, 2025 at 9:59 PM
This is an extremely misleading quote. It’s limited to 9 senators and it’s not a bonus because they’d have to win their lawsuit first—and, IMO, it’s extremely unlikely they would (legal procedures were followed). There are a lot of things to be pissed about, but I don’t think this is one of them.
November 12, 2025 at 6:03 PM
Oh, I think she’s the same self-serving, evil troll she’s always been. But, IMO, the fact that she thinks that saying the things she’s saying is in her best interest could be a sign that we’re getting closer to the day when the Rs in Congress finally turn on the dictator wannabe.

I used to be a huge fan but he’s dead to me.
