It is, and it’s blatantly stated in the fair debt collection protections act. If they don’t respond in 30 days, they can be reported to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and the FTC. The debt also must be removed from your credit.

Technically, I can submit a verification of debt to the Department of Education and if they don’t respond in 30 days, the debt is liable to be dropped from my credit report.

As I’ve gotten older, I have become more comfortable dropping the game to “story” or “easy” difficulty. Some games, the bosses are a SLOG on “normal.” No one’s got time for that.
