Forgot to add a edelweiss photo, so you get a second batch.
A hut sitting below a ridge of rock plates, all angled and creating a zigzaging ridge with their upper edges. The hut is rather small, grey and unassuming (it's insides are, what make this hut shine) A water wheel embedded in a mountainside. The photo is a long exposure, so that the wheel it's selfb and the water flowing over it is all blurred A edelweiss flower in a grass patch. It is a white and yellow flower with unusually thick and furry white leaves and 7 yellow dots sitting at their center The center of the image is dominated by a long and rocky ridge line, stretching all the way from the position of the photo to a summit 1,2km away. The summit is surrounded by glaciers and is about to be swallowed by clouds moving in

So, since not everyone followed my big hiking trip on Mastodon, I guess I spam you here with a few Fotos as well
Looking up a valley, that used to be occupied by a glacier 100 years ago, now the glaciers are only small left overs underneath the peaks. Most of the glacier is covered in rather fresh snow from the past days. A horse standing back to the camera, but turning around to look at the camera. It is standing in a mountain valley between grass and small bushes, clouds are creating s very spotty lighting An old stone mountain hut with red and white shutters is sitting on top of a rock face and underneath a partially snow covered ridge line. The sky is all grey and cloudy and the whole picture already feels pretty cold (and so it was!) Summit view looking towards the Tauern mountains, the summit this picture was taken on is snow covered and all the surrounding mountains show a clear snow line. Sky is blue with just thing white clouds and contrails reaching across the sky. In the foreground one can see a group of resting hikers.

I am a software engineer working on Linux and lately also #Android system and security tools in the German automotive industry. When I am not hiking in the Alps, you might find me ranting about terrible kernel behavior and the mess that Android is under it's hood.
