related: i feel like mental health / trauma healing is a sand mandala and i keep having to build it again and again. from one perspective this is a Sisyphean nightmare. from another I appreciate the beauty that comes with this core part of my experience of being a human.

I walk when i need to. I pause my watch and sit on benches. at least one sock eventually gets soggy. it sounds ridiculous but i think i cry 85% of the time i run longer than an hour lol. it’s all a patchwork that to me is a source of safety and belonging.

snow is politely avoiding my area rn, but that also means I’m procrastinating on my Sunday long run for no particular reason. other than this coffee+book combo is hitting lol 🫠

I think we are often surprised by how powerfully we synthesize social realities within ourselves. But it’s always like this - this is the (wild) circumstance of being relational creatures with brains and neurotransmitters. we HAVE to be vigilant about the social b/c it’s so prone to exploitation.
