I am thinking of investing in like a Ben Franklin printing press and abandoning the computer age for good

If I hear “premium plan” one more time I am going to forget English so I never have to hear it again

I brought this up to the rep and they were like “these terms are subject to change and we reserve the right to change them at will” and by using the service you agree to their terms.

I’m suppose to renew in February, the rolled it back to November (and double charged me because they charged me in March of that year) and then rolled it to October now.

My friend was looking over the pricing and their basic tier has a $2 difference from what I am paying now, but does include a store front, which the lowest tier on Wix doesn’t. I still have avenues to check but having to look back over my statements they have been moving my renew date constantly

So literally. Fuck this entire system. People before profits. AI doesn’t even help, it just makes people mad at you because it “auto” fucks them over so I hope it’s worth all the business they lose!

And still offer me more than double what I was paying for the “enhanced experience” now that they have integrated AI. And I know I am not the only one who got blindsided by the $840. So I am sure the raked in lots of profits for their investors while a bunch of small business had a bomb go off

So migrated to a plan I didn’t sign up for by AI, had to wade through an AI chatbot that didn’t do anything to help me and gave me horrible instructions until it had to actually connect me to a rep anyway. So burn through a bunch of energy just to do nothing, hurray pollution

So they said I could opt to downgrade and get some of my money back. Their lowest tier now is not the $150 but $372 so still more than doubling my costs for like 20% of the service I had.

I contact customer support. Apparently they don’t offer the plan I was using and “auto migrated” my account to “premium” in 2023, which was $600. But when they did that they gave me a discount that dropped the cost to the exact same I was paying, so I never new anything was different

I see an auto draft from Wix, my website company for $840. What?! I have been paying like $150 since 2021 what the hell is happening? Plus my renew date is months away!
