I've never read The Da Vinci Code. But The Raw Shark Texts is a twisty, fun, high concept thriller that is poppy and silly and fun, but is also about deadly semiotics. And a conceptual killer shark. I remember thinking as I read it, 'wow, I could recommend this to literally everybody I know!'

Amazing. So jealous! I stayed at a hotel in Shinjuku called Sunlite in 2016. Barely left Kabukicho for a week. Wonderful.
