Boggle Hole and Robin's Hood Bay, North York Moors National Park. Besides being an old smugglers cove it is rich in fossils especially ammonites. I found none as the tide was coming in so my time was limited. Beautiful and well worth a second future visit. #NorthEast #NorthYorkshire #BoggleHole

There are very few clouds low above the cliff on the right in the distance otherwise the sky is bright blue, growing lighter as it meets the sea.

The walk to Boggle Hole, North York Moors National Park. Boggles, a type of hobgoblin were said to live in the caves along the coast. People believed the Boggles could cure sickness & would bring their sick children to the caves for healing #NorthEast #NorthYorkshire #NorthYorkMoor

I was fortunate to visit Durham Cathedral while the Peace Doves artwork was on display. Made of thousands of paper doves many created by children and each inscribed with a message of peace, love, friendship or hope. The artwork was illuminated and set to music.

I planted 5 dwarf apple trees on M27 rootstock in Johnnie Walker half barrels. Not a drinker but they smelled glorious when drilling holes in the bottom 😊🍎 #gardening #containergardening #selfsufficient #apples #whisky

Bardon Mill, Northumberland near Hexham where Errington Reay Pottery is made has firmly landed on my list of favourite places to visit. Bardon Mill is the last commercial pottery in Britain that produces salt glaze pots. I ❤️'d everything but settled for 2 handmade pots. 🥰🪴 #northumberland

The pool of water at Lady's Well, Holystone Wood, Northumberland National Park, England. There is a walkway leading up to the pool of water which has grass and trees either side. The sign has a small green oak branch with acorns and written in black letters in all caps is as follows. The National Trust Lady's Well This holy well was once a watering place beside the Roman road from Bremenium in Redesdale to the coast. It was walled round and given it's present shape either in Roman or Mediaeval times. Saint Ninian, the fifth century apostle of the border is associated with the site and with other wells beside Roman roads in Northumberland. The name "Lady's Well" came into use after the first half of the 12th. Century when Holystone became the home of a priory of Augustinian Canonesses dedicated to St. Mary the virgin. The well was repaired and adorned with a cross, and the statue was brought from Alnwick, in the 18th. and 19th. centuries.
