Do we actually know that this is the shooter? As I understand it, we only know the shooter’s name because the Trump administration said he’s the guy that was dragged. I wouldn’t normally question something like this, but they lie so persistently and blatantly it seems fair to ask

You were not paying "pretty much what you paid before," unless your employer didn't cover any of your premium. COBRA allows you to continue (for a limited time) on the policy you had, but you had to cover the ENTIRE premium. For most people this was wildly more than they were paying while employed.

I guess (conservative) states can pass any unconstitutional law so long as they do it in August of the year before the election. By the time it gets to the Supreme Court it will be the "eve" of the election. Quite a loophole.

I'm a middle aged (okay, senior) man, and the first book of yours I read was Starter Villain, pretty much exclusively because of the cat on the cover. "Don't judge a book by its cover," but in this case promises made: promises delivered. I've been reading and loving your other works since.

Excellent point. There's so much normalization of the crazy. "Retaliation" is a much better term, as it indicates punishment for exercising rights or reporting wrong-doing. But even that's insufficient. Some are being punished just for competently doing their job.

Given the Trump administration's enthusiasm for prosecuting perjury (as with the Comey prosecution), I have no doubt the DOJ will soon be prosecuting Bovino for these lies. I mean, they are all non-political professionals in charge of the DOJ, right?
