I think I was maybe in high school when they announced the successful reintroduction of wild turkeys in ME? And it was at least a year or two after that before I saw any for myself

They're annoying when I drive but they eat the ticks around my house so I love them

I was so distracted the pretty art I didn't even see that! 🤣

It's so pretty! And I wish I could read the story that goes with it 💜

So last summer, a magician told me that people who can wiggle their ears have the potential to control every muscle in their bodies

And I can wiggle mine, so maybe there’s something to that?

This is one that makes me want to flip tables.

NEEDING HEALTHCARE IS NOT A MORAL FAILING. HELPING PEOPLE IS WHAT WE SHOULD WANT TO DO.

So my usual “it’s not bad enough to really need medicine” is completely out the window and I’m doing everything I can to keep this shit from settling in my lungs

I am also at least somewhat aware of my privilege, heath-wise. Pneumonia would likely be more of an annoyance and massive inconvenience than a crisis, but there can also be long term effects. And my grandmother had pneumonia that precipitated catastrophic multiple organ failure

Context: I caught something from my school kid last year right around this time and it developed into pneumonia. My breath kept occasionally wheezing/crackling through spring

This time? 3 days after “i think I’m getting sick” symptoms they started the same progression as last year

We have a Forester & Legacy we love but even the models we like have off years. At some point we’ll replace the Forester w/ probably either an Ascent or Toyota Sienna bc 3rd row + coastal Maine winters + super steep gravel driveway, but I’m always open to suggestions if you have any!
