Unfortunately the word “bike”has two meanings. “Bike” means bicycle to some, and motorbike to others. So the word “e-bike” was doomed to be ambiguous.

Imagine a child crossing the road left to right. They are completely hidden from any driver the other side of the van.

A problem needs a pithy name if you want to campaign against it or get newspaper coverage!

Overgrown hedges ruin walking for people with buggies, double buggies and wheelchairs. We can’t just go round on the grass or road.

Is there a name for this problem? Perhaps hedgespreading?
