My Bichon was born right before COVID and wasn’t properly socialized due to quarantine . We live out in the country, but now often visit the city. On walks in the city, the minute she sees another dog, she freaks out - pulling the leash and barking. Any tips on how to get her back below threshold?

We rescued Bichon #2 (Lucy) from a breeder. She had 4 litters by age 5. She is so sweet but she is fearful - most especially of me. Strangely, she is much less fearful of me when her leash is attached, when I’m under the covers or driving. I see the love in her eyes - but the fear.

I’ve god a dog who was a puppy during the COVID lockdown. She wasn’t introduced to other dogs outside our house for over a year. Now, she’s fine at home with our other dogs but she goes into a frantic barking fit when she sees another dog. How might I best get her over her fear?

Thanks. Lucy is a 5-year old that we rescued from a breeder (4 litters in 5 years). She’s very timid and scared to death of me (I suspect that my pheromones remind her of someone who mistreated her). She’s a work in progress, but we see in her eyes a real sweetheart begging to escape her PTSD.
