Brazing, wouldn't the gas torch provide enough protection with the flame?

Your call sign is quite old. I thought it must have been a new license with a reissue 😂

I had some driver transistors fail on an Alinco, I only used it to receive. These things happen.

I'll stick with the LDG Rt-100 remote tuner for now. At least you can power it down with latching relays.

Remote tuners are ok but I don't want one in-line all the time

What's under the hood Colin?

The other way is 450ohm back to the shack with a z-match or something.
April 5, 2025 at 6:18 PM
Quick test on 30m rbn, seem to get more reports with manual atu back in the shack than with remote atu at the antenna. Perhaps the LDG rt100 is not very efficient after all.
April 5, 2025 at 6:12 PM
Conditions a little flat here George. Hopefully better for you
April 5, 2025 at 10:18 AM
The match on 10m was ok but trying to get better on 30m.
April 4, 2025 at 7:48 PM
Installed an auto tuner at the base of the 450ohm twin then coax back to the shack.
