Turning your kids into rock stars, chasing the northern lights and exploring Minnesota. I dig music, guitars, ukulele, Prince, and stargazing.

The data is starting to turn favorable!!! ...of course, this can flip at anytime.

BUT As of now I am heading out to the car to drive north and take a look. Can't update much after this so on your own

If you were to ask me at this very minute, if it's worth going out, I would say yes!

Good luck!

The data did start jumping a few minutes ago and trending favorably! Of course, it can always flip on us! But right now it's looking good as long as it stays like that for an hour or more.

You still have time to plan for tonight.

Go to lightpollutionmap.info. Try to get yourself into at least yellow, green or blue.

This makes all the difference in the world.

If you can get north of Anoka county on 35N, you're pretty much good to go. Farther is better.

It is highly likely you'll need to get out of light pollution to experience whatever tonight gives us.

Would it be nice if we saw aurora from downtown Minneapolis again? Yea.

But understand if you saw that last night, it was one of the most rare things you'll ever see in your lifetime.

We'll have to see little closer to dark. It looks promising. I'll try post an update about my plans for tonight before sunset. Finding spot away from light pollution will be worth it. Use lightpollutionmap.info and Google Maps. Try get close to green or blue at least but even 30 min outside cities 👍

Just me but the resident artist staying at the artist's residence came out and I took her pic too.

Me too!

She's charging up before it blows again. I don't know how good it will be from Minneapolis. But the fact that you're seeing the green auroral band is beyond impressive and extremely rare.

It's only the beginning! It'll come and go all night.

Holy F.

Never seen this.

You better be trying tonight!

You don't need to know anything except for this analysis: Holy God Damn Fuck.

Yea, baby.

We are gonna party tonight. The crazy part is the biggest stuff has not even hit yet.

Don't say I didn't warn you!
