Almost everybody who attended Thanksgiving dinner at my house got it. The 10 and 12 year old kids did not, they probably have lots of antibodies from germy grade school. My DIL and I did not get it, we are both RNs who have been in germy environments. Otherwise, the day after was Super Fun!

Same. My dad was a scientist for the USDA, had a few patents. Glad he is not here to see this.

So if ACIP votes against newborn Hep B vaccines, can OBs and or Peds (not sure who manages or orders the post birth stuff) just ignore it? Is it standing orders that would have to be changed? Would the OB s now have to have long talks with parents to be about this? Who’s on first?
