I swear, once you familiarize yourself with her work, you'll see her influence across the whole comics industry. I see echoes of her art in the work of such comic book titans as Bill Sienkiewicz as well as in the more painterly work of artists like Sam Keith.

Jones's contributions to comics were also stunning (even though I'm too dumb to understand them). I have a copy of IDYL-I'M AGE at home and every page is a masterclass in black and white comic illustration. Seriously beautiful.

Its hard to articulate what it is about her work that resonates with me so much. The above images aren't the best examples to be honest. I think its that her work was often so wonderfully moody. Look at this lonely image. I couldn't ever load my brushes with this much emotion.
