hello welcome to my web sight

I'm a FAANG performance engineer but this is my topical anime account. Or is it?

Always wondered who appointed them to this but uh, I realized they're all women who haven't realized they're autistic and if a social harmony rule just floats by them it sticks to them and they have to follow it

There's a category of online people I know who spent the last decade on tumblr yelling at people who didn't follow artist norms like "always credit the artist" like it was the law, and are currently talking about how they "always have to call out AI art"

Californians are multimillionaires who intentionally live in old looking buildings so they can pretend they're rural farmers, so they think it's gentrification when new younger poorer people want to live in a building with windows

The big boys require it (or ~100k in GPUs), but the data centers are because everyone's using it at once. You can certainly run a decent one on a Mac Studio.

I'll have you know my SA reg date is 2003

Not to Blind-post, but the software engineers subthread need to post TC

I am so confused about this vaguely SA/LF-descended style of posting where you pretend to be a bully from an 80s teen movie

This is my CC experience, it's what I assume walking a very enthusiastic dog is like

That's normal religious practice. You're not supposed to actually read the official texts or know how to do it. That's a modern invention called Protestantism.

You can find them at the ticket counter at train stations

The Niven dialogue I remember (because it was a pull quote) is like

Person A: The material of the Ringworld blocks on the order of 50 percent of neutrinos
Person B: *Gasp* This changes everything!

Some people just really want to read a book with the word "neutrinos" in it ig

That era of SF was strangely sexless. Niven stories in particular are about "what if space was 70s California and a guy was trapped in a high school physics problem and there were no women"

Always read it as the evil danganronpa twink

Nobody remembers this anymore, but this is BOFH
(Who I now think had GenX lead poisoning because like, why was he like that)

Might be fake ancient wisdom (the way publishing worked in Tibet is basically that nobody would believe you unless you lied and said it was ancient Indian wisdom you found in a cave)
November 25, 2025 at 5:58 AM
That said I don't know anyone in SF who is normal about sex because it's SF, which is basically why I decided not to live there when I moved to SV

I know what he did (because he told me) and it was normal and not that

eg, AI image generation was invented because OpenAI released a classifier model (CLIP) without realizing it was a valuable trade secret because you could make new images with it:
github.com/eps696/aphan...
GitHub - eps696/aphantasia: CLIP + FFT/DWT/RGB = text to image/video
CLIP + FFT/DWT/RGB = text to image/video. Contribute to eps696/aphantasia development by creating an account on GitHub.

That's not a strong distinction though, it's mostly a difference in how they're deployed. You can turn a classifier model into a generative model by searching through it, and transformers are good at both.

The only video game music that didn't have to go that hard is the Weather Channel track that everyone assumes is by Yoko Shimamura
