Yeah i wasn’t really clear about this. We use the locale to retrieve data from external systems where we explicitly pass the fallback.

So we mostly have code like ‘locale = new Intl.Locale(localestr)’ and use that for further processing

We often use it now to work with language fallbacks. Eg locale is ‘en-GB’ but we also want ‘en’. Intl.Locale solves that nicely instead of splitting strings in dashes :-)
