Update, borrowed my wife's newer LG laptop and it ran the update no problem. Had to try 3 different PCs. This is gonna frustrate a lot of buyers. Seeing it in a recent Amazon review too:

Companies are so hungry to harvest information with account linking etc, that my son can't even download the latest rosters for FC25 cause he doesn't have an EA account. Having this exact same issue:
