That last part is the realest thing ever

My account is small and new so this will hardly reach anyone. If someone, anyone at all, sees this: please share it. I want this to be known by as many people as possible.

All of this has truly shown us that the effects of climate change WILL be felt everywhere, and they will appear much faster than we anticipated. And even after all the warnings, the governments are still not ready to face the consequences in order to save their own people.

Civilians from near towns and cities have been grouping up to help clear the area from mud. However even doing that has become dangerous as all the water that has remained is now contaminated with bacteria from all the corpses. Only after 4 WHOLE days the government has sent the military to help.

But even beyond all the deaths and also the 2000+ disappeared people (I forgot to mention it earlier), the survivors are living in awful conditions as almost every street is blocked, the electricity is out, the water supplies are out, and the supermarkets have ran out of food.

They were sent multiple alerts about the upcoming flood throughout the day but refused to warn the civilians about it. The flood was already happening when they sent out alerts about it. So many people could've lived if they simply knew what was coming.

Just so we are clear: nothing like this has ever happened in Valencia. There have been floods in the past, but none to this scale. And while we can point fingers at climate change (which is the root cause of all this) I also want to bring attention to the incompetence of the Valencian Government.

However, that number will only go higher and higher as more bodies are discovered under the mud, cars, or pools of water that have remained after the flood. The people from the affected areas are already reporting that there are way more victims, as they see the streets filled with corpses.
