100%, anti hero shooter sentiment doesn't hold much water for me because people were excited for Deadpool in Marvel Rivals earlier in that show. Feels like more than ever, the mass audience is more interested in "established IP". The funko generation.

On the individual reader side of things, I'm mostly looking for the list structure (ranked or otherwise) to generate some thoughtful criticism. And some novelty, it's a good time to champion something you think is overlooked. I don't really care what is considered best in aggregate!

I'm maybe a little further than you (met esquie and poking around the overworld) and my pre-playing it thought of "wow people need to play ps1+2 final fantasies" is very vindicated lmao. it's like a charmless one of those. fun combat tho.
