Gonna have to define expensive - this brompton is nowhere near top of the range and is certainly a commuting bike for getting to work and it's almost £5k. I can understand excluding the ultra bikes from this, but they're over £10k

I'm fairly sure we do need a quick fix, along with a long-term strategy as to how modern humans interact with an environment which facilitates obesity. GLP-1s have been the only thing that has helped me control my weight - they're incredible drugs, but only for those who can afford them for now

I did my undergraduate at Aston over 20 years ago and this was the rhetoric then too. This does make sense for Aston as it's known for its business school, so tight integration with industry makes sense. It shouldn't be blanket applied to other institutions that don't have the same focus.

I think the difference is that elder millennials have *only* had economic turmoil. In the UK I've had the 2008 crash, austerity, brexit, covid, and now this since entering the job market. I've had 0 increase in real world income for the entirety of my working life
