So happy with this year's #FNNY, I am still sorting through photos as we speak! I suited for much longer than I typically would, and met so many friends again <3 If you've any photos of me, do pass them on!

1k followers already is insane but I am not surprised in the slightest given the quality of your work and how lovely a person you are! Onwards and upwards, well done!

Was up in NI at the weekend for a lovely trip with @femboy.ie and @sudowolf.bsky.social and the only picture I took was of this fucked up looking caribou. Who wants to tell them their mistake?

Identification app tells me this is a scarlet bottlebrush. I absolutely adore how prehistoric this looks. Would have fit right in with the dinosaurs! Look at those primitive leaves, it's like something out of a museum, and the fruits (seeds?) grow straight out of the stems of the plant. Incredible

Spot the potato plants propping themselves in the vegetable patch.... again. Unintentional succession sowing but my God I wish they would stop hahaha

What a day. A great furmeet with great company, and fursuiting afterwards in Woodstock Gardens amongst giant firs in Kilkenny. Definitely a contender for my favourite fursuit photo ever. Look at these beauties! The events they have lived through, wow.

We are blessed to know a person with apple trees that must be 50+ years old who let's us harvest from them. They have both cooking and eating apples on them (chomping down on an eating apple as we speak!). This old tree has blessed us, look at that beautiful trunk and all the lichen. What a beauty

Dramatic rubber tree plant getting watered finally. I've noticed it going into dormancy so now I need to work out how often to water a more tropical species. I'm used to not watering my cacti and succulents for half the year!

I really must get more pics of my fursona figurine surrounded by my crops. Mostly potato and strawberries here

Oh we are growing alright!

Also saw some lovely dahlia and a front garden totally overtaken by pumpkins. It was so fun trying to spot growing pumpkins amongst all the vines. Bonus roses from my mum's garden

Gardening expo today in the RDS! It was like christmas come early, oh god. It was incredible, I got some muscari, tulips, yellow rattle, wildflower mixes, alliums, hyacinths and more. Kid in a candy shop....

I have to say I know nothing at all about mushroom identification but the SIZE of these two beaten and battered lads is just incredible

God I cannot wait for the blackberries to ripen up, foraging with my boyfriend last year was so damn FUN & so fulfilling mentally. We got hilarious reactions, one lady even curiously asked if what we were doing was legal. Not accusing us, just so confused at being allowed pick free food. Good times

God, there are no words for the smell of home grown raspberries. The wasps absolutely adore this bush, it shows how the list of pollinators goes beyond just the bees (who are important too!)

A quick gladiolus snap for your timeline. This little beauty has flowered for me two years in a row and I adore it so much

Small tortoiseshell butterfly found inside, my partner let me know they've been hanging out on his wall for the past full day. Safely caught and released outside! I really must look into a butterfly-friendly garden space

The blackberries are coming in, been watching this gigantic bush nearly every day for a month. Cannot wait for them to mature to make yet more jam... watch this space

Carnage of removing dead wood and leaves from my long-since-flowered foxgloves. I cut one stem and found faint green (ie: life) on the inside, which surprised me, and then upon further careful inspection, noticed a bunch of sprouts further down the stem! Remains to be seen what happens here

Update: oh wow, these are beautiful altogether

Results of the season: many unviable sweet chestnut seeds and two success stories. Harvested from UCD, just hoping these lads get a lot more energy into them before they go into over wintering. Might keep them inside for that.

Nice little pernettya mucronata in the foreground too.

Aaaand it's gone. Savages

Typical. Cleaned out the entire bedroom yesterday, top to bottom, did a proper deep clean of all dust, dirt, and debris... and wake up to a (male?) crane fly stuck behind the curtain. Safely released outside now. I keep thinking these lads look like mosquitoes but they're apparently harmless

Grapes were half price at the shops due to literally like one or two in a punnet being mouldy/gone off. Good snack for me, with the mouldy ones left in the bird feeder as a sugary surprise for the house sparrows that deplete my seed stores. Let's see do they like it.
