This UCLA study found that lesbian/bi women are incarcerated at a rate “8 to 10 times higher” per capita & are being disproportionately discriminated against & mistreated all throughout the criminal justice system.

Further, their study finds that Gay/Bi men were actually 2.2x more likely to be incarcerated for a violent nonsexual crime & 4.1x for a violent sexual crime than straight men, per capita. This directly contradicts the other studies findings.

They suggest that there is prejudice & discrimination against LGB people “from initial contact with police through various stages of the criminal justice system” including profiling, over-policing, & community level marginalization/stigmatization of LGB people

I would take that study with a grain of salt using such a small sample size and relying solely on self reports.

Israel on the other hand won’t agree to peace until Hamas recognizes them as a legitimate state, recognizes previous peace deals (like with the PA) & agrees to full demilitarization of all militant groups in Gaza including Hamas. That last bit is a real sticky one when neither side trusts the other

Hamas won’t agree to peace until Israel is totally dissolved & they are the sole administrative authority of the region. Obviously Israel wouldn’t want this.

Socialism is both an economic & political philosophy, Conservatism is generally considered a political & social philosophy & Liberalism contextually is all 3, political, economic & social.
