Vergers are my ultimate liturgical heros lol

One Easter as crucifer I was processing behind our thurifer and trying to subtly stub out a series of glowing embers in the carpet with my shoe bc they kept raining down for reasons outside my field of vision. The verger said later I got all but one, which felt gratifying.

Also - Yay Mtr Clara!!!

I grew up across a field from a large dairy operation where many immigrant families lived and worked on site. There are so many farm workers in NEO, but ICE is gonna get a big surprise. Even my dad -- far,far-right my whole life, is telling everyone this is Nazi bs and he won't countenance it.

Oh, great, sign me right up
February 1, 2026 at 4:29 AM
I'm sorry, to me that sign appears to indicate the 2 binary genders, "Bangs" and "Moustache" (somehow, though, due to age, hormone whatever they're doings, and the desire to cut my own hair recently, I belong to both?)

I wish I could say this offer has convinced me, but honestly merely seeing the words "Cook-Out tray" has filled me with an unquenchable urge to make this my lunch tomorrow

This probably sounds like an absolute non sequitur to anyone who didn't witness my dad explaining to my gran how come she opened the deep freeze and found a dead possum laid in there on top the frozen foods. Honestly the "why dead possum" was explained but never the "why in the deep freeze"...

If I opened a chicken coop door at night and saw that looking back at me, I could reasonably be forgiven for whatever happened next

I drink a lot of milk on the usual but I am bewildered when ppl buy it all up around here before a storm during seasons when you can't put your perishables on the porch if the refrigerator goes out. I DID buy some little single serve cartons of shelf stable milk yesterday tho!

The review was interesting. The movie was uncomfortable but interesting. The review did not feel like it was about this movie tho

Ravenna Ohio, the county seat of my home for years, and where I worked for a while. What a surprise to see that tiny detail while absorbing this image

I politely declined the second bite of bread, but I was actually quite touched that she was willing to share with me! I only went "ack! Germs!" in the silence of my mind LOL. This kid really sized me up for a bit before deciding if I was ok. I was honored!

Kids are people, and kids are part of the body of Christ, and I don't like overstimulating noise or unpredictability any more than the next person but, I am NOT ok with the common attitude of kids being less than fully endowed w the dignity and human rights we say we believe in for "everyone."

--- this sticky 1yo tore off a bit of her fist-squashed bread slice, and gravely reached out to offer it towards my mouth. I unthinkingly let her pop it in, and thanked her with a little bow. I did not go "eww! Ack!!" until a split second too late, when assorted choir members gasped/pointed/laughed

I am generally a little anxious about interacting w children, but this morning while waiting to go process in for sery, I crouched down to make conversation with a new-walking tot abt her cute shoes, and then whatever she was clutching in her fist and taking bites of. She eyed me seriously, then ---

My family survived the infidelity and the woodworking, but only for a few years 🤣
January 2, 2026 at 5:12 AM
Wow it feels like the AI is rudely referencing the Never Spoken Of incident in which my mom began having an affair with the guy who was teaching her some woodworking skills in our basement throughout my preteen years, RUDE I say!

I am having a challenging and not very happy adjustment to not using stoveside jar bacon grease as a start+flavor enhancer to absolutely everything, now that I have a significant other who is violently pork-intolerant. (Gastrointestinally, not as a personal viewpoint!)
