My brother worked on the radars for surface to air missiles while in the military. One thing that was taken very seriously was to not have the radar turned on while you were in the vicinity of the antenna. You could get yourself cooked that way, they have SERIOUS power being put out.

I have seen several reports of companies putting up cell towers and receiving reports from people who say they are suffering from reactions to their signals -- before the towers are powered up. That is absolute proof that the claims are complete fabrications.
