Regrettably, a family guy reference.
It's also a nightmare to be noticed at all. I saw a new Missile Command game by Atari and it didn't even reach 70 reviews despite being out for 4 months.

Yeah, I made this to show people some well reviewed games from this year and had to update it constantly. I'm not even taking early access into consideration here.

It sucks that I have to hold my breath on a few titles because I know that them using AI is a possibility and gatcha shit infests these events like a virus, but I also have to face that this is norm now and I should just learn to filter it if I plan on keeping watching them.

Too many games came out this year... And I haven't played a single one.

Mustering the will to care that giant publishers known for laying off people and making more money in a day that I will make in my entire life have to pay a lot of money for a show that is a giant advertisement for them.

Also, discoverability on these mobile stores is garbage. They keep pushing free to play games on you and questionable apps with no oversight.
There're also a ton of games that just aren't playable on recent versions of Android and iOS, so even if you bought them, you might not be able to play them.

As someone who decided to explore mobile gaming recently, I immediately dipped out of the play store because it's full of garbage and just downloaded fan solutions for mobile ports. I can play build engine shooters and the quake games on my phone and that's good enough.

Tho tbf, I don't think that a large portion of the indie scene has been doing a good job at helping itself. I'm someone who watches most of the gaming events and I see that, for the last 5 years or so, the same 7 different indie games keep showing up.

Being an indie dev has always been risky with a high chance of of failure. The idea that the pool of people buying new releases has been decreasing, while subscriptions services have been on the rise is worrying as shit.

I don't think that Sam buys into his own shit like some others do. He believes that AI can be useful but not to the degree he is selling and only when the bubble bursts, he will admit that he oversold it.

In my head cannon, this game takes place in the same universe as No More Heroes because it fits too well into that world.

The motion controls here aren't horrible and my Wii has identified my inputs pretty well. The soundtrack is top notch and while the characters aren't anything to write home about, I still liked the announcers and Jack, the world building is very No More Heroes like.

The Primus cover is so good.
