Say what you like about 2nd ed #DND, at least it was coherent in its layout (first 2 are 2nd ed, last two are 3.5 and 5th ed)

I'd say that idea feels fairly in line with the 90's animated design. Granted it'd include more actual silver instead of being white, but don't really see how it wouldn't be accurate:
