A new film released this year is Köln 75, a biographical drama about Vera Brandes, who in 1975 at the age of 18, staged the famous Köln Concert by jazz musician Keith Jarrett. This amazing story is worth retelling in this its 50th anniversary year. More... www.mfiles.co.uk/jims-blog.htm

Nathan Klein's music for "Atomic" has a mix of atmospherics and beat driven action tracks. With recurring thematic elements, it makes good use of electro-acoustics and detuned sounds with some tracks reminiscent of "Requiem for a Dream". mfiles.co.uk/jims-blog.htm

Spanish Ladies is a traditional sea shanty, evolving into several different versions. The song has featured in several movies, and was sung by the character Quint in the movie "Jaws", and John Williams incorporated it into his music score. More... bit.ly/4fEXBGE

Mike Batt has launched a crowd-funded project to record his Ukraine Symphony in support of Ukraine. He is still composing the Symphony and hopes to record it in Kyiv later this year.
