Robin's music ephemera
@musicephemera.bsky.social
Posting blurry photos of items collected by @firepile.bsky.social over 40ish years of being slightly obsessive about music. Particular attention to 4ad, Teenbeat, Simple Machines, Wax Trax, IPR, and related/similar bands/music

Oh damn, nice! I've only ever seen 2 from the series (the 2 I have- Bauhaus and Psychic TV).

Chris Van Wagner introduced me to this thing and I was gleeful when I eventually found a copy in the pre-internet-buying days

It has more than just lyrics inside - some text about the history of the band, etc. In the early 90s, this was literally the only place to find their cover of Spirit in the Sky outside of a 7" no one had, and this was not easy to find, either!

Radio City Music Hall, July 24, 1991. Sometimes I think I hallucinated this entire night. I've been to a lot (a LOT) of concerts in my life, but this one was pretty easily the weirdest shit ever. The NY Times review really undersells the insanity.

I hadn't seen them in the wild before I got one at a hotel in Barcelona over the summer! I think they must be cheap but designed to look respectable

I don't remember how they funded it, but it was definitely offered with some limited items, and because I'm still convinced Caroline Crawley had the voice of god, I got some sort of special deluxe version. With it came 3 11x17(ish) pages of sheetmusic for Cavalry of Cloud. This is that! (2/2)

Here it is next to the inspiration, their 1993 Matchbook 7". (Listen, that 7" is squeezed in to 2 protective sleeves so tightly that I just could not be convinced to take it out for photos. You can find them on discogs!) (2/2)

Every now and then a facebook memory pops up of me because I was posting utter dismay and shame that the bar wasn't packed to the gills! It was a fabulous night! (Saw you this year playing with Tsunami and it was also fabulous!)
