I gave out special booklets with all 21 themes of my “LIFE Sermon” at JFUMC on my last Sunday. There are extras at the church office for those of you who had to miss.
I have extras. If friends outside the church would like one, private message me with your address and I’d be glad to send it.

I love this Howard Thurman poem, this time of year. May we be all blessed with the work of Christmas that continues.
Part of the reason it is dear to me is that it’s referenced in the Avery and Marsh song, “I Am the Light of the World“ which I grew up singing at camp with Kelley Neal.

A great Christian man died today. He had a difficult presidency, but he did some great things and had a marvelous life. I heard him preach and teach in seminary. My parents, with Uncle Warren and Aunt Mary Farr, went to hear him teach Sunday School. I post this picture of them to celebrate his life.

We have the most wonderful staff! Tonight was our annual Christmas party, and most of them were able to come.
