Everyone's crying over TikTok while forgetting that Trump was the one who issued TWO executive order bans on it. Trump's handpicked SCOTUS only upheld this bans of the app. But naturally, he is going to slither in next week and play savior to a problem HE fucking created.

This is distraction.

I never saw anything pointing to it working. The consensus I saw in all the videos I came across was exactly this. That Trump created the problem i and made a spectacle of it so he could swoop in and “save” us all then we’ll trust him, and it’s not going to work.

Hopefully the people I follow and everything stay if it comes back, then I cultivate my FYP again manually because my fear also is that the algorithm is going to go through an adjustment.

I tried going back to Facebook for a total of 3 minutes and that shit was unbearable. Deleted the whole app and Instagram

That’s exactly where we discussed it. That’s where we found community, activism, resources. There’s more to it than “Just an app” and an app like Bluesky isn’t going to be a better alternative.
