People seeking asylum are going because they are fleeing from their Governments. Not because they are sent by them. He genuinely thinks sending them back is something that those Governments have a problem with.

I guess they’ll be grounding all their airforce planes in Europe and withdrawing licences for commercial aircraft to fly there. And now the insurance industry have been made aware of the riska presumably the increased costs will make flying prohibitively expensive.… No?

If America does not exist as a sanctuary for immigrants fleeing tyranny and persecution or just in search of a better life, then it is nothing. It is literally what it (a country with little history in a global context) was built on and why it aspired to be so much better than what had gone before.
