Assuming the majority buy other than ‘necessities’ in the 1st place. Reducing ‘essentials’ for many = growing our own food with resources we just don’t have: initial investment, favourable conditions, space, TIME (tend, produce), skill & knowledge…Still a privileged & unrealistic statement.
